Realizing the opportunity to ‘help’ those folks, lenders primarily with subprime mortgages made it easy to get the money to buy houses with zero down payment money.

Many home owners went to closings with the good intention of repaying those loans, contemplating in the near future to refinance or improve their repayment ability, as some of those loans would eventually start adjusting. Others, came out from the closing table knowing for sure that they had not means of affording the mortgage payments and would eventually end up in foreclosure, but hopefuls of enjoying homeownership even briefly.

Then the market started shifting, market values have decreased at an alarming rate, the time of the homes on the market for sell increased dramatically, and those homeowners that wanted to find a more favorable financing option can not get refinancing thus creating panicking and home ownership nightmare.

Educated Real Estate investors can now step in to the marketplace and help many owners and lenders offering solutions in this time of opportunity, the buyers market.
