Life Coach's Emotional Reunion With Father Featured on Montel Williams Show

(Free-Press-Release.com) December 22, 2007 -- GILBERT, AZ –December 22, 2007 -- Carey Powell, Certified Life Coach and owner of Fearless Soul Life Coaching, today announced that the emotional reunion with her father, which took place on the set of the Montel Williams Show, will air in an episode of the Montel Williams Show on Wednesday, December 26, 2007.

Twenty-five years ago, when Powell was five years old, her father walked out on his family - leaving behind three children (Powell and her two younger sisters) and Powell's mother. Powell never spoke to or heard from her father again. Then, in the fall of 2007, Powell decided it was time to find her father.

"As a life coach, I promote fearlessness and empowerment to my clients", said Powell. "This was the one area of my life I knew I needed to 'walk the talk' - to face my fears and push through them until I found my father".

After several failed attempts to locate her father on her own, Powell was at a loss for where to turn. Late one night as she sat at her computer, she felt inspired to email the Montel Williams Show, asking for help. Powell was soon contacted by a producer from the Montel Williams Show. A few weeks later, Powell and her sisters were flown to New York City to tape the episode. However, there was a twist to the story.


Said Powell, "My sisters and I were not told that they had found our father. They told us that they would have a private investigator look into it, and that were were being flown to New York City to set up the story and meet the private investigator and Montel. They kept the reunion a secret from us until the moment my father walked out on stage. It was a shock to say the least!"


Powell and her sisters are building a relationship with their father, as well as his wife of 14 years, whom they never knew existed.

"This has been such a surreal and wonderful experience", says Powell. "It has made me a better life coach, and a better person. I feel that a new chapter of my life has begun and I want to use this experience to help others who may be struggling with fear or a similar situation in their life."


The episode, which was taped on November 2, 2007, and originally aired on November 13, 2007, will re-air on Wednesday, December 26, 2007, with an update commentary from Montel Williams.
