FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) December 25, 2007 --

Over the next 15 years there are likely to be more changes in the transmissions field than in the last 50 years. Both conventional automatic and manual transmissions look set to maintain their production volumes, but their market share will be facing stiffer competition from other forms of transmission – principally the CVT and double clutch transmissions. But the picture is a complex one, with different transmission solutions winning out in different regions and market segments. The new transmissions report gives a technical insight into competing technologies and sets out a forecast for the development of different transmission types by region. In addition the report includes profiles of 14 leading transmission and transmission component suppliers, and includes a list of over 800 companies engaged in the automotive transmission market in the 20 most important automotive economies, including emerging markets such as India and China.
