United States of America (Press Release) December 26, 2007 --
Melbourne, Fla.---December 26, 2007--- Many homes in America have at least one or two old cell phones lying in a drawer or closet somewhere, doing nothing but collecting dust. Many people might see these old phones as trash, but one organization has turned them into treasure.
Llyons Court Charities Inc. is collecting used and unwanted cell phones through the month of December in order to raise funds to build two community centers in Brevard County which will serve as safe havens for children and teenagers to play sports, socialize, and participate in
educational, self-help, artistic and musical programs. Llyons Court Charities is asking the community to help by donating unneeded cell phones, which can be dropped off at any of the following locations in Melbourne: Anytime Fitness, Eyeglass World or Sleepy Heads Bedroom Store.
Cell phones may also be dropped off or mailed to Llyons Court Charities, Inc., 907 South Fork Circle, South Melbourne, FL 32901. For a pick up, call (321) 698-6001.
The donated cell phones are sent to Pace Butler Corporation of Edmond, Okla., a leader in the cell phone recycling industry. Pace Butler pays for each shipment of cell phones they receive, while ensuring that each phone is recycled in a responsible manner and that no phone ever ends up in a landfill. The money raised benefits a worthy cause while the environment is spared of cell phones’ harmful toxins.
By donating cell phones to Llyons Court Charities, the public not only helps them raise money to build community centers which will provide safe environments for young people, they also help the environment, while at the same time removing unneeded clutter from their homes.
Llyons Court Charities Inc. is incorporated as a nondenominational nonprofit charity. The organization relies on donations from both the private and public sectors to help them alleviate disease, hunger, slavery and abuse of disadvantaged children around the world.
Llyons Court Charities Inc. works both domestically and internationally focusing on educating children, families and communities in an effort to help individuals become self-sufficient and knowledgeable about ways in which they can help themselves alleviate poverty in viable and sustainable manners.
