United States of America (Press Release) December 28, 2007 --
South Beach, FL December 7, 2007 – Ten Russian barons dancing, nine Imperia Vodka glasses overflowing, eight assorted food stations abounding, and more than 1,500 people were in attendance at the Russia Miami 2007 party sponsored by the Guggenheim Museum, Hugo Boss and Imperia Vodka. The event was held in the outdoor pool area of the Raleigh Hotel under moonlight and stars. Concierge Specialties by Victoria served as the official event planner and hosted everyone from celebrities to royalty to locals and international art patrons.
Music and decorations were sponsored in part by famous Moscow-based clothing designer Denis Simachëv. Rich brocade patterns of white, fuchsia and gold were specifically created by Mr. Simachev for the event. Models adorned in Russian fur hats and sexy red dresses served up Imperia Vodka as well as Petrossian caviar.
The event was held during Art Basel week and in conjunction to the Russian art exhibit, RUSSIA MIAMI 2007, which presented an assemblage of artists representative of a vast spectrum of contemporary art of the Moscow and St Petersburg scene. The exhibition included works by prominent Russian artists and emerging artists alike; many of who have remained virtually unknown in the current art market rush. The works on exhibition had all been made in the Post Soviet era of the past 15 years and are influenced by Russia’s rapidly changing society.
