FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) December 30, 2007 --
ANNAPOLIS, MD -- Annapolis author Cynthia Polansky will debut her latest work on January 6, 2008 at the Hard Bean Coffee and Booksellers in the City Dock area of Annapolis, Maryland from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm. "Remote Control" is a paranormal novel Polansky dubs "lit for the thinking chick" that won the 2006 Indie Excellence Award for New Age Fiction.
"What sets it apart from the more typical 'chick lit' novels is a provocative, insightful treatment of the afterlife veiled by a laugh-out-loud wit and contemporary voice," Polansky says.
Hard Bean Coffee & Booksellers proprietor Gary Amoth is pleased to be the first area retailer to host the author event. "Cynthia has held book signings here before and always promotes a good turn-out," he says. "We're very supportive of local authors, many of whom do their writing with a cup of coffee in our store."
According to Polansky, local support is very important, but not surprising. "Annapolis is a very community-minded town. Everyone looks out for everyone else, and show support during trying times as well as during successes."
"Remote Control" (Echelon Press 2008) is available at Hard Bean Coffee & Booksellers, 36 Market Space, Annapolis, Maryland 21401. For more information, visit www.beansandbooks.com or www.cynthiapolansky.com.
