The September 2007 launch of the Fall/Winter belt lineup will include a stylish selection of browns, purples, and reds and will be embellished with such materials as velvet, ribbon, and will be available with a wide variety of appliqués. Baby Beltz Founder and CEO, Katie Safriet adds, “Our fall lineup will not only be colorful, but will also incorporate stylish elements, typically only reserved for adult clothes, such as our new rhinestone buckle for girls.” As for the boys’ lineup, Baby Beltz has added more edgy designs such as the “flame belt”, due to this emerging trend in infant boys clothing.

The idea for Baby Beltz was hatched after Katie, herself the mother of an infant son, became frustrated with the lack of small belts that would fit her 10 month old. According to Katie, “my son was in the cruising stage and he kept tripping on his pant legs. He’s a little guy and the waists of his pants were just too big. I wanted him to look cute and trendy, yet also be able to wear the numerous outfits he had amassed from friends and family. Thus, out of necessity, Baby Beltz was born.”
