January 2, 2007 - New York, New York - Zonisphere Records is thrilled to announce the worldwide signing of "New York's Sexiest Latina" and beloved songbird, Janid.

With this new $1.2M record deal, Zonisphere will incorporate Janid as their flagship artist while expanding the "Janid" brand even further through multimedia releases, strategic merchandising, and endorsement placements. Under the new deal, Zonisphere acquires the exclusive right to market, distribute and license her existing catalog as well as her next three releases. Zonisphere plans to release a new, physical version of Janid's highly acclaimed second album "ONE", which was previously only available as a digital release.
"I can't think of a better way to kick off the new year than with a new record deal. I am extremely excited and I can't wait to begin this new chapter of my career. Zonisphere has an amazing vision, they see the big picture just as I do. Creatively, we're on the same page and I just can't wait to deliver my best work yet," says Janid.
Janid is the first of many new signings planned for the first quarter of releases for Zonisphere Records. She is currently in the studio working on her third album which will be released by Zonisphere in 2008.
