Clean 4 Me of Markham, Ontario is excited to announce their commitment to Cleaning For A Reason as York Region’s first partner. Cleaning For A Reason is a North American, non-profit, charitable organization founded to provide FREE and discounted housecleaning services to women undergoing cancer treatment.
“I lost my father to stomach cancer and I lost my grandmother-in-law to lung cancer 6 years ago. I am no stranger to the challenges facing a woman and her family as they struggle to cope with cancer.” said Amanda Yeung Collucci, founder & CEO of Clean 4 Me in Markham, Ontario.
“It has been my dream to help make a difference in the battle against cancer. Cleaning For A Reason is a wonderful way for us to make an important contribution – especially for women facing cancer treatment,” continued Amanda. “Housecleaning falls through the cracks – you are fighting for your life and your normal priorities have been completely reordered. I am happy to help make women’s lives a little more normal, more comfortable while they’re fighting the fight.”
When Amanda Yeung Collucci learned about Cleaning For A Reason, she immediately joined and became the first, local, Cleaning For A Reason partner in the GTA and York Region to offer FREE and discounted housecleaning services.
Fighting cancer is difficult enough; living with it is even tougher…that’s where the Cleaning For A Reason Foundation steps in. The Foundation provides practical help to women in their season of cancer treatment, through cleaning partners offering FREE, PROFESSIONAL housecleaning services once a month for three months.
Requests for cleaning services are made through the Cleaning For A Reason web site, www.cleaningforareason.org and their Call Center. Once cancer patients have been verified through their physician, they are matched with local Cleaning For A Reason partners who will do the actual housecleaning. The parameters of each cleaning are set by each individual cleaning company partner. Typically, they provide three free monthly cleanings, and three cleanings discounted by 45% to the cancer patient, which carries them through six months of treatment. Families and friends of cancer patients can also donate funds towards additional cleanings through the Cleaning For A Reason foundation’s website.
Clean 4 Me provides residential house cleaning services and commercial cleaning services across 6 locations: Markham, Richmond Hill, Stouffville, Woodbridge, North York and Thornhill.
