LINGUISTS MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN IRAQ

(Free-Press-Release.com) January 6, 2008 -- January 6, 2008 – Falls Church, VA - GLS will soon employ over 6,000 locally hired linguists and more than 1,100 U. S. citizens with security clearances who are native speakers of languages spoken in Iraq.

On 6 December 2007, Global Linguist Solutions was again awarded the U.S. Army Translation and Interpretation Services Contract to provide interpretation and translation services to the U.S. Army and other government agencies supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

On December 17, 2007 the U.S. Army ordered a “Stay of Performance” while the GAO reviews a protest filed by the incumbent. GLS anticipates this Stay will be brief. As soon as it is lifted, GLS will complete the hiring actions for the most qualified candidates and prepare them for imminent deployment to Iraq in support of the U.S Army.
