WELCOME TO THE FIRST ANNUAL SUPER BOWL OF BUG EATERS
AT SUPER BOWL WEEKEND ON FEBRUARY 1, 2007
IN PHOENIX, ARIZONA
The First Annual Super Bowl of Bug Eating Kicks-Off with
The World’s First Exotic Bug-Eating Race
PHOENIX, AZ – (January 9, 2008) – “This is Fear Factor on Crack …And Adrenaline,” says Darren Shuster of Pop Culture PR, one of the Producers of the event. ViewBug.com and Pop Culture PR have joined forces to create an alternative to the traditional Super Bowl event. “This is about the training, physical preparation and skill level of professional or wannabe food-eating competitors.” The prepared meals are also created to be delicious and aesthetically appealing – with plenty of seasonings to go around!
It’s not whether the competitor will eat the eight-legged cuisine, but whether or not they can wolf down a half-pound of the creepy crawlers in 2 minutes. “They call the Kentucky Derby the most ‘Exciting Two Minutes in Sports’,” says Ori Guttin, President and Co-Founder of ViewBug.com, “With our Super Bowl location, this event will get attention from tens millions of viewers around the world.”
ViewBug.com is sponsoring the event to help raise attention for its niche social networking site – www.ViewBug.com. The staff at ViewBug.com also enjoys celebrating creativity in all its forms. “We knew we could create something that used our imaginations to spread the word about our new company, and we wanted to do something visually, and viscerally, compelling,” says Guttin.
Location: The Lady Bug Restaurant
ViewBug.com is bringing a whole new meaning to the phrase “Snack Attack” come Super Bowl weekend on Feb. 1, 2008 when it hosts The First Annual Super Bowl of Bug Eating at The Lady Bug Restaurant in Central Phoenix, Arizona.
The menu will consist of a three course meal starting off with Salted Scorpion-on-a-Stick, followed by garlic encrusted cockroaches on a soft taco served with guacamole, and will be finished off with chocolate-covered larvae/beetle combination.
Please call Darren Shuster at (818) 703-9202 for more details.
