SAN ANTONIO'S LITTLEST SLUGGERS NOW HAVE A SPORT OF THEIR OWN!

Blastball is a Pre-Tee Ball league and is built to introduce youngsters and their families to America's favorite pastime and to encourage them to move on to other advanced levels of the game. It's is designed to generate fast-paced action, provide recreation and exercise and create enthusiasm thru simplicity. The batters hit an oversized foam ball off a tee and run to a single base 30 feet away. If the batter reaches the base and makes it 'Honk' before the players on the opposing team field the ball and holler 'Blast!', the runner is safe. No scoring, no practices and lots of fun for the whole family! Sandlot's indoor facility is designed for this type of event - no threat of rain and the children can play in a safe environment while their parents cheer from the bleachers.

This program and all programs at Sandlot Baseball & Fastpitch Academy are designed to help parents create successful, dedicated and respectful children by encouraging and rewarding positive behavior. The positive characteristics taught at The Sandlot Baseball & Fastpitch Academy are qualities that help our students succeed in not only being better ball players, but also better participants at home and at school.

The Sandlot’s instructors include current and former MLB/Collegiate players. All Sandlot instructors are put through a certification process prior to instructing to train them in the Sandlot Academies’ curriculum and to maintain a consistency and quality in the instruction they provide. In addition to traditional training methods, the Sandlot uses state of the art batting/pitching training tools such as the Rightview Pro© batting/pitching analysis system and the Black Sound© pitching system. The Sandlot offers programs from beginning to advanced players. The Sandlot’s instruction staff will be available for individual, group and team instruction as well as camp and clinic offerings throughout the year.
