United States of America (Press Release) January 14, 2008 --
Orem, Utah – January 2008 – Utah caterer Culinary Crafts is going green! And by green, we mean eco-friendly. Culinary Crafts has been incorporating ecological practices into every aspect of their business in a praiseworthy effort to reduce their ecological footprint on the environment.
Based in Orem and Salt Lake City, Culinary Crafts is achieving its “green goals” by utilizing a number of different practices. The renowned catering company is 100-percent wind-powered through the Blue Sky Program, meaning all of the electricity used by the company is offset by wind-power energy which they purchase. In addition, Culinary Crafts has also been recycling their used cooking oil into biodiesel fuel which can be used in their many catering trucks and vans. And for any company wanting to have an eco-friendly event, they even offer a new line of biodegradable disposable-ware made from corn starch.
Their commitment to supporting the environment is also apparent in their kitchens where they make everything from scratch using fresh and organic ingredients whenever possible. This not only gives them higher quality and better tasting products, but it reduces the amount of prepared or frozen ingredients that rely on heavy packaging.
Making an effort to give back to the community has always been important to Ron and Mary Crafts and now, more than ever, they are focusing on following environmentally sound business practices to make their business as green as possible.
Mary and Ron Crafts began Culinary Crafts in 1984 and have been working to provide their local community with quality catering. Now the largest catering company in Utah, they use their resources to give back to the community through organizations such as United Way’s Financial Stability Council, the Make a Wish Foundation, and the American Cancer Society.
