United States of America (Press Release) January 16, 2008 --
Do you have difficulty finding friends and families that are compatible with you and your spouse? Are you searching for something different?
www.FamilyIgloo.com website offers a new social platform for MATCHING families such as single moms, single dads, couples (all combinations) living together and married individuals. Its mission is to decrease the stress within families by providing better social support through networking with compatible members.
What makes FamilyIgloo.com site different is the unique search engine that is being developed (beta-phase) coupled with a member profile that takes into consideration the personality and the characteristics of both partners.
The theme of family serves as the jumping off point. This site is uniquely focused on creating an environment where family values are expressed. Members are encouraged to form social groups and forums to discuss various issues and concerns. Those issues range from the performance of their children’s schools and teachers, to families with concerns about children with chronic diseases, and other common family bonds from little league sports to cerebral palsy.
The members stay connected with their loved ones by forming their own family groups like the 'Smith Family Group', and hence make their family bonds stronger. Families can also make new friends online and in their neighborhood by searching for like-minded and compatible members", says Ghassan Gholmieh.
Known as “Dr Gus or Dr G” to his friends, Gholmieh, says he finds this nickname easier for the members to remember. He is a medical doctor and carries a PhD in biomedical engineering from USC. He says: "I was driven to create this website because people have lost the sense of community when they move to big cities". Dr Gus goes on to add, "I am passionate about what we're doing here, it has added great value to my family’s life, and I am told often by our new members about the value it has added for them."
"Family Igloo is where families connect, share, meet up and grow together!"
