Sports PLC, owners of online sports equipment retailers www.thesportshq.com in the UK and www.golfoutletsusa.com in the US have announced strong sales growth for 2007 on both sides of the Atlantic bucking the current trend of so many retailers.
The UK operation was up 51.5% for 2007 including an incredible increase of 62.5% in December and the US was up 29%.
Chairman and CEO Simon Millington commented “We are absolutely delighted by these figures and we believe it shows the strength of our sites and our brands. I am particularly grateful to all of our staff whose level of commitment to outstanding customer service has been instrumental in our growth. With over 52% of our business coming from returning customers that in itself reinforces our view that demand for our products and pricing, coupled with quality customer service sets us apart from our
