Let's face it. Women have the added pressure of always having to look perfect. Besides all the other little things like raising kids, cooking, cleaning, there is usually a full or part time job added to the mix too. No wonder new moms are looking for an effective way to take off post pregnancy pounds, and keep them off.
During her search for a fitness plan for on the go mommy's like herself, my wife discovered some interesting factoids about fat, fitness, post pregnancy fat loss.
Here are a few of those interesting facts about post pregnancy fat and how a new and exciting program can literally melt off those unwanted pounds.
The Average weight gain during pregnancy is 25 to 35 pounds. Of that, 12 to 21 lbs. is retained after the baby is delivered. In addition, due to the increased calorie requirements during gestation, eating habits have changed. It is not uncommon for women to put on an additional 10 to 20 pounds within six months. However, it is VERY possible to get back into (pre-pregnancy) shape after having a baby.

Breast feeding mothers should not be quick to start a weight loss program. After 2 to three months a breast feeding mother can safely begin a diet and exercise regime. Breastfeeding may actually assist in weight loss. Research shows the that hormones released while breast feeding cause a woman's uterus of a breastfeeding mother to shrink back to it's pre-pregnancy size within 12 months.
Exercise significantly helps with postpartum weight loss, helps you mentally deal with your new situation and does not affect the quality of breast milk. The best time to start exercising is about 7 weeks after birth. The time it takes to get back to Pre-pregnancy shape (safely) is about 8 months. There are exceptions (like my wife found) that can significantly shorten that time frame.
After four kids and years of empty promises from weight-loss programs, my wife has found an incredibly efficient system. She experienced significant, and fast, post pregnancy fat loss even with a normal (hectic) lifestyle that most new mothers experience.
