New store brings select advice and products to the online community.

After 20 years of providing a local resource to the thousands of back pain sufferers in the San Francisco Bay Area the Back Shop has brought their expertise online. Through this source back pain sufferers can find practical and effective advise and products to reduce and often eliminate the effect of back pain on their work, leisure and travel activities without drugs or surgery.

The Back Shop & Sleep Center was founded out of necessity when an automobile accident disabled the founder for life. After searching for ways to relieve the chronic pain associated with her injuries it was decided to offer these findings to the general public. Today The Back Shop has two stores in Berkeley, CA and San Rafael, CA in addition to the new online store located at www.thebackstores.com. The online store brings to those unable to visit the physical stores the expert advise and select products proven to help with the reduction or elimination of back pain.

Studies have shown that 80-90% of Americans will suffer with back pain at least once in their adult lives. Many have either reoccurring or chronic conditions. The effect on work, play and family life is devastating to the individual, employer and family. With the health care situation as it is the traditional surgical, drug and physical therapy solutions are being replaced with a self-treatment alternative.
