WomenOnGuard.com’s Monthly Product Donation Goes To Victims At A Women’s Crisis Center In Florida

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) January 25, 2008 -- Indian Beach, NC January 24, 2008. Every month, WomenOnGuard.com donates 25 non-lethal, self-defense products to an organization, which provides assistance to victims of violent crimes. Susan Eaton, co-principal of WomenOnGuard.com, states that, “We are very proud of being able to provide options for women regarding their safety and personal self-defense.”

The website‘s January 2008 product recipient is Peaceful Paths in Gainesville, FL.

With the recent rapes and murders in and around Florida, WomenOnGuard.com suggests that every precaution should be taken to make sure women carry some sort of self-defense product with them when they go out in public. Special focus should be given to places such as grocery stores, office and mall parking lots/garages as well as university and college areas. Elevators and stairwells are also potentially dangerous places for vulnerable women.

Ms. Eaton goes on to say that, “there are various types and styles of non-lethal, self-defense products that women can carry. We encourage everyone to be prepared which means following safety tips and carrying a self-defense product that will aid in your defense should you find yourself in an unpleasant or uncomfortable situation. Just showing a would-be attacker that you are carrying pepper spray or a stun gun, is a deterrent in itself”.

The website http://WomenOnGuard.com sells non-lethal, self-defense products such as pepper spray, stun guns, the Taser C2, personal alarms and home protection products.

The Taser C2 is the newest non-lethal, self-defense product on the market today. It has a small non-gun design, lightweight and easy to carry. It is easy to operate with the simple push of a button. The Taser C2 can stop a threat up to 15 feet away, protecting you from a safe distance. It is a very popular product in high demand. It is effective protection and is legal to carry in most states without a special permit.

You must be 18 years of age to purchase pepper spray and stun gun products.

Pepper spray is legal in all 50 states, however some cities and states have restrictions on sizes and strengths. There are some states where stun guns and Tasers are illegal. If you are not sure of the legality in your area, you should check with your local city or state attorney’s office. WomenOnGuard.com does have a “State Restrictions” category on its website however, accepts no responsibility for its accuracy or completeness.
