United States of America (Press Release) February 3, 2008 --
Keene High School is playing host to a Battle of the Bands fundraiser for the Kelley’s Cause Foundation. The Kelley’s Cause Foundation is an organization dedicated to raising money for Kelley Goddu, a 21 year old, Keene High School alumni of 2004, who badly injured her spinal cord in a tragic accident in the summer of 2006. Kelley completed a 100-day program at the Shepard Center in Atlanta last year, with the support of the Keene Community. Kelley and her mother Diane Goddu, former owner of The Cabana Swimwear, are back in Atlanta, GA attending the Center for Integrative Manual Therapy and Diagnostics (Center IMT). Center IMT treats patients with complex disabilities, dysfunction, and diseases. It treats its patients through physical therapy, nutritional wellness, Chiropractic, and advanced therapeutic technologies. Center IMT has trained its practitioners extensively to ensure that they are qualified to deal with the most complex of patients. Dannie Goddu, sister to Kelley, will be coordinating this fundraiser to raise money to defray some of the cost for the physical rehabilitation. The Battle of the Bands will take place on April 12, 2008 at the Keene High School Auditorium on Arch Street. Doors will open at 6pm and the show will start at 6:30 pm. Tickets will be sold from our sponsor locations, online by request, via PayPal or the evening of the event. Adult tickets (12 years old and up) will be $10, children’s tickets (5 to 11 years old) will be $5, and children under 5 are free of admission. Join your community for a night filled with great music while you contribute to a great cause by helping bring a loved one walking home.
