Sherboune Conference Centre ...Open for Business

(Free-Press-Release.com) February 3, 2008 -- Having won the title of “Leading Conference Centre” in the Caribbean over the past three years, by the World Travel Awards, the marketing team from Barbados Conference Services (BCSL) recently conducted a whistle stop around the region to educate and promote the products and services of the company.

The first stop was Trinidad where a cross-section of corporate TT – comprising business representatives from the travel and advertising sectors, PR practitioners, Event Managers, and other associated personnel were introduced to BCSL at a breakfast meeting held recently at the Crowne Plaza. BCSL comprises three (3) divisions - Sherbourne Conference Centre, Horizon Coaches and Horizon Event Planners.

Sherbourne Conference Centre is one of the largest stand alone Conference Facilities in the Caribbean region, offering over 164,000 sq ft of air-conditioned usable floor space. The Centre caters to any type of function and boasts facilities such as on-site catering, small and large meeting rooms, state-of-the-art conference facilities, a fully equipped computer room with 52 workstations available as a media centre and for computer training, infra-red simultaneous interpretation and translation facilities and much more. In fact, presenter Shelley Miller, Marketing and Sales Manager at BCSL was proud to note that the centre has won the prestigious World Travel Award for the Caribbean’s Leading Conference Centre for the past three years.

Together, the divisions comprising BCSL have hosted and managed large regional events such as the Florida Caribbean Cruise Association conference, the 32nd Organisation of American States (OAS) General Assembly, The Entrepreneur of the Year Awards and more recently the 2005 Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Investment Conference.
