United States of America (Press Release) February 3, 2008 --
Students from the Academy of Cinema and Television’s Phoenix School brought home over 60 top honors at the International Modeling and Talent Association’s Convention in Los Angeles, California, held January 7 - 13, 2008 at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel.
The International Modeling and Talent Association is a modeling and talent event where major industry talent agents, managers, and casting directors come to find new faces. During the full week of competitions, seminars, and workshops, thousands of models and actors showcase their potential for industry professionals who can jump-start their career in the performing arts.
Models, actors, singers and dancers demonstrate their potential in a variety of competitions. The international agents and casting directors who are judging are not only selecting the winners, they're also scouting for new faces for their agencies and upcoming projects.
Each of the talent competitions is designed to showcase potential, look and ability. The Academy of Cinema and Television works hard to prepare their students for this bi-annual convention as it provides a professional venue to where talent can compete with the best newcomers in the entertainment industry. And, most importantly for A.C.T. students, these type of competitive environments help young students to build self-esteem, self-confidence and often realize dreams. The selection process at the Phoenix-based school is by invitation only. The academy concentrates on preparing a select group of talented young people to enter the entertainment industry. Class size is kept small to optimize the learning environment. To learn more about the classes and audition process, call the Academy Director, Jack White, at 602-261-5800 extension 114 for additional information.
