Los Algodones Police Corruption continues. Not safe for tourists.

Los Algodones Baja California Mexico has become the Mecca for Police Corruption involving false arrests to steal travelers vechicles, drumming up false charges and setting up Kangeroo courts with fake Judges and Lawyers who will promise to "...make all this go away." for a fee, usually $200.00 and up. The local indigenious people of Mexico suffer the worst. Usually poor and unable to fight the corrupt system, they endure beatings, torture, and unimaginable conditions in the jail. Often laying face down on filthy fecus and urine embedded cement floors, handcuffed and shackeled for over 24 hours with no response to their crys of pain and suffering. Such is the recent happenings in Los Algodones Baja California, a small Mexican border town famous for their multitudes of Dentists and Pharmacys.

An American Legal Permenant Resident was pulled from his car at gunpoint last Friday evening as he was making the line to enter back into the USA. He was ruthlessly beaten on false charges of driving a stolen vehicle, even though he produced a legal registration and proof of insurance. The Police did not care about the paperwork, however proceeded to mercilessly beat and falsely imprision him. He now suffers #3 broken ribs, numberous gashes and torn ligements from the brutal beating of the Tourist Police.

Los Algodones has proven to be a dangerous and life threatening town, with Police corruption abounding. No appears to be safe, tourist or not.
