Vermont Chocolate Sculptor Featured by MasterCard

MasterCard approached Ms. Jones in January about being part of the campaign after they came across images of her chocolate sculptures on the popular photo website, Flickr.

Emily Jones is employed at Lake Champlain Chocolates, a gourmet Vermont chocolatier based out of Burlington, VT. She works as retail manager of the Factory Store & Café as well as one of the chief chocolate sculptors, hosting in-store chocolate demonstrations and creating beautiful sculptures made from 100% chocolate for community events and store display.

MasterCard’s Priceless Picks campaign is an online photo-driven campaign billed as “Your Daily Guide to Life’s Adventures.” It invites visitors to submit pictures from their life including a narration of the image. Various categories include Food, Travel and Arts. While the premise of the campaign is to fill the pages with viewer-submitted images, MasterCard sought out unique and enticing pictures to seed the pages, including some of Ms. Jones’ sculptures.

“I was incredibly surprised and flattered when I first received the inquiry from MasterCard. I almost thought it was a friend playing a prank.” Said Emily Jones. “Sculpting in chocolate is my favorite medium to work with. Not only is it challenging but the finished products are always so well received by those who view them. They usually can’t believe they are made completely of chocolate and are totally edible.”
