From Abstract and Pop Art, to Outsider, Neo-Expressionism, and Graffiti, it was a combination of creativity that brought success to AOA's original site, which averaged between 800 and 1000 hits per day at it's peak.

AOA first gained popularity after its initial launch in 2001 by releasing a new brand of visual art to the mainstream public. Since then, artists such as SFAUSTINA , DAVMO , JESSE RENO , and TREVOR FOLTZ (TEF) have watched their careers accelerate, selling well over one thousand pieces combined. Add the success of the group as a whole and that number increases exponentially. Quality assurance – each artist has been selected for the collective by a resident voting board. “Cutesy pet portraits simply don’t fly for AOA,” notes NIX , an AOA artist. “The voting process is crucial to uphold the image of the group as a whole." In addition to the voting process, a 30-artist cap has been placed on membership in AOA.
