Dutch design at the Oscars

For the renown Dutch designer Percy Irausquin a dream came true last
night at the Oscars.
Just weeks ago, Irausquin’s pr-agency received a phone call from the
Oscar nominated director Suzie Templeton. Amsterdam based Templeton,
who won an Oscar for the Best Animated Short Film ‘Peter & the Wolf”,
requested to wear a Percy Irausquin couture dress to the Oscars.
“When Suzie called me, I could hardly believe that this could really
be true. It is every designers dream to dress an Oscar-nominee. And
now she won! This is the best thing that ever happened to me. What
designer wouldn’t be delighted to see his or her dress worn by a
beautiful woman, who wins an Oscar and wears your dress on stage?
That is the ultimate goal in a designers life.”, thus an emotional
Irausquin.
Templeton wore a stunning red dress, made out of the finest Parisian
silk.
Percy Irausquin hopes that his contribution to Suzie Templeton’s
appearance at the Oscars last night, will be the beginning of a new
era.

The Caribbean born designer Percy Irausquin (37) started his
professional career in Amsterdam. Beloved in The Netherlands,
Irausquin is known to dress famous Dutch actresses for their red
carpet appearances. Lately his star has been rising tremendously and
there is a lot of international attention for both his couture
collections, as well as his yet to be launched ready-to-wear
collection. Amongst many other high-lights, Irausquin recently
designed a beautiful dress for Belle from the Beauty & the Beast in
Disneyland Paris.
