Funeral Trusts - A new option for Funeral Planning outside of the funeral home
Seniors dread having to go to the funeral home to plan.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) February 29, 2008 --
There is a new option for funeral planning for senior citizens. Instead of going to the funeral home and having to pick out caskets and all those dreadful things, there is a new option for funeral planning.
Many seniors may retire to a different state, move closer to their children and to prepay a funeral home is silly if they end of moving. Today, seniors can meet with their attorney or financial planner to complete an irrevocable funeral trust. With the irrevocable funeral trust, this trust is funded typically with a single pay life policy.
As many elder law attorneys will point out to their clients, this trust will protect these funds from nursing homes, hospital, and Medicaid. In most states these funds are exempt from the nursing home and Medicaid.
Since most seniors do not have nursing home insurance and they aren't ready to pick out caskets just yet, this is a great way to preserve funds for the funeral without having to do all those other dreadful things.
The funeral trust is portable to any funeral home at the time of death to pay funeral expenses. Financial planners and attorneys are recommending this method to their clients as a preplanning method with their estate planning.
Good estate planning is important and the Funeral Trust should be part of it.
NOW YOU HAVE A BETTER OPTION BEING PREPARED WITHOUT THE HASSLE OF PREPAYING A FUNERAL HOME
