Jeff Galante, EA has joined Engineered Tax Services, Inc (ETS). He will oversee the Quality Control Department for the company's Cost Segregation Division. He will also manage a new division for ETS that will promote IRS Federal Tax Controversy and IRS Resolution services for it's accounting clients.
Prior to joining Engineered Tax Services, Mr. Galante was employed by Deloitte Tax LLP as a Senior Manager in the Federal Tax Controversy Services function specializing in Cost Segregation IRS Audits. Jeff spent 31 years with the Internal Revenue Service (1973 to 2005) with his final position prior to retirement serving as the Area Director, Appeals - Laguna Niguel, CA (2004). During this time he supervised a staff of approximately 300 Appeals Officers and Settlement Officers while overseeing the Appeals resolution of Examination and Collection type cases, including cost segregation studies, in southern California, Arizona, and Nevada. Jeff also served as the instructor at the Treasury Executive Institute meetings, Appeals CPE and Examination group meetings concerning Appeals’ Alternative Dispute Resolution techniques, including the Fast Track Settlement Program while serving as the Chairperson on a committee that developed nation-wide guidelines and procedures for the Fast Track Settlement Program.
Jeff is a welcomed addition to the ETS family in light of the more stringent standards the IRS has created in Circular 230 for the CPA community. ETS is dedicated the high quality standards required by the IRS in performing cost segregation studies.
