Longtime Wisconsin Dells fan plans Dells-related weblog portal

Larry Ellis Reed (46), self-described "Kahuna Accidentale of the Dells" and a longtime visitor to Wisconsin Dells every summer ("right after the 4th of July crowds leave," he's quick to admit), is thinking about launching a weblog portal given over to the Waterpark Capital of the World for especially such in the tourism industry (the "water business," as he whimsically refers to same) and such locals in and around Wisconsin Dells who have to deal with the millions of tourists visiting the popular American Midwest resort.

"And," Mr. Reed adds, "have their own take on the scene that they wish to relate in weblog form across the Internet--as if they had any stories to relate, come to think of it."

"As it turns out, there's three outfits online--21Publish, Informe and The Mambo Site, to be exact--as make the concept possible, as well as easy. Not to mention free.

"For now, though," Mr. Reed admits, "the idea's bearing fruit depends on what kind of interest I can generate from the 'water business' community in particular; I hope, in any case, to get same launched in time for the start of the summer season on the Memorial Day long weekend."

All in all, he sees it as a way to give back something to the Waterpark Capital he knows and loves with affection.
