United States of America (Press Release) March 4, 2008 --
FreeChatSpace.com of Wildwood, Missouri and Talking Communities of West Bend, Wisconsin have teamed up to offer a free way for people from all over the world to share and then discuss videos over the Internet through technology called an online conference room, or chat room for short. Once 2 or more (up to 500) people are logged into the free chat room, participants can take turns starting videos for the group to watch. As the videos play, participants can type messages back and forth about the videos, or suggest their next favorite video for review. In addition, once the video is done, participants can chat in their own voices to discuss the videos using VOIP technology built into the chat room. Members can even record the entire event, including the web sites visited, the videos shown, and the conversations so they can share it with others who missed the meeting.
The movies watched can be on any topic, from dog training videos to examples of ringtone videos for cellular phones. Some of the most favorite videos are recorded singers, Karaoke style. Other top videos are motorcycle stunts, dog tricks and blooper videos. But the site also sees big use of the rooms for educational videos, such as lessons on how to play musical instruments, or how to repair your home or automobile.
The free chat rooms (conference rooms) are offered to the public free of charge. The companies offer the free chat rooms with the hopes of introducing the conference room technology to new prospective clients who will use them for giving business seminars online and are ad-supported by Google.
