United States of America (Press Release) March 5, 2008 --
JetSpeed Records has signed San Francisco based rockers The Ravages. JetSpeed Records will feature The Ravages' track "Life On Display" on JetSpeed's upcoming "Punk Rawks" compilation, to be release March 31st, 2008.
The Ravages evolved out of the teeming primordial musical ooze of Brooklyn in 2005, when young Zarrin-Taj ventured up from the Jersey Shore with her guitar and a bag full of unapologetically poppy rock and roll songs. With Jay “Beefcake” Grossen on drums, Thirsty Rex on bass, and a revolving cast of guitar players, artists, projectionists, friends and friendemies, the Ravages’ parties rocked New York clubs, creating a micro-scene within the scene.
Lusting for more, the insatiable Zarrin-Taj and company now prowl the West Coast seeking kindred spirits and willing victims, part of a master plan to ravage the languishing American soundscape.
Handsome John Epperly produced and plays guitar on “Life on Display”.
