Mohali-(5-3-08) "due to indifferent attitude of punjab govt towards veterinary services, Punjab State Veterinary Doctors Association(Regd)(PSVDA) has decided to hold mass rally at bathinda on 12th march.",said Dr.Abdul Majid ,state president PSVDA.
He further said,"Due to contractual veterinary system under Zila parishads ,veterinary doctors ,veterinary pharmacist, class four employees are prone to exploitation , due to their persistent job insecurity,and less rumenration. This is all happening because of handicaped system run by punjab govt .Because of job insecurity , no one is secure. Veterinarinary doctors who had quited private jobs to join contractual govt jobs in hope to be regularised , are now seeing towards private sectors and abroad. Rural veterinary hospital are again getting vacated up, and their staff engaged by them is getting again unemployed and again rural people are deprived of veterinary services. For 682 vacancies ,427 availble candidates had joined jobs, out of which About 43 Vets have left jobs in mere one year 3 months period."
"This contructual system is all a compromise with the developement of agri-allied sectors especialy dairy sector." he further said.
"To present their greviences and to raise issues of rural people upto ears of Badal govt, PSVDA will hold mass rally, in which Rural vets along with their staff , rural people, and village panchayts will participate.", he further said.
