One Fit Mama™ is pleased to release their expanded spring schedule, which will showcase Prenatal and Postpartum Health Fitness Classes for Mothers in the Greater Philadelphia area.

One Fit Mama™ is pleased to release their expanded spring schedule, which will showcase Prenatal and Postpartum Health Fitness Classes for Mothers in the Greater Philadelphia area. Programs offered will include Stroller Fitness, Prenatal Yoga, Mama and Baby Yoga, and ongoing free social and educational events. One Fit Mama™, the region’s only locally-owned and operated program of its kind, holds classes for new, expecting, and experienced Moms throughout Montgomery, Philadelphia, Delaware, and Bucks Counties. Spring classes will begin Monday, April 7, 2008.
Classes will be held at Montgomery Mall in Montgomeryville, Mondauk Common in Ambler, Parkside Place in Upper Gwynedd, Fort Washington State Park in Ft. Washington, Giant Supermarket Community Center in Willow Grove, Athlete’s Advantage in Conshohocken, Bally Total Fitness in Willow Grove, Holy Martyrs School in Oreland, The Willows in Villanova, The Radnor Trail in Wayne, Forbidden Drive in Chestnut Hill, and Oxford Valley Mall in Langhorne. Classes are offered on weekdays, and weekends, mornings and evenings, on an on-going basis. The first class is always free, and Moms are never required to pre-register or make a long-term commitment. One Fit Mama™ Stroller Fitness Classes are 60 minutes long, and include cardio and strength training components. Babies are pushed in strollers for the cardiovascular segment; during the strength training, moms use resistance bands, their environment, and their baby as part of the workout. Prenatal Yoga Classes are appropriate for all stages of pregnancy, and Yoga Mamas classes are geared towards pre-crawling babies. Special events, such as the popular ‘Lunch ‘N Learn Series’ and Moms’ Night Outs, are held in conjunction with various Mom and Baby friendly organizations, such as Whole Foods, Moxie Moms, The Center for Parenting Education, and Capital Health System.
One Fit Mama™ was created by Tricia Streit Perez after the birth of her son, Caleb, in February 2005. Tricia found it difficult to resume her exercise routine because it wasn’t feasible to find a babysitter each time she wanted to go to the gym. As a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC), she knew it would be stressful and costly to put Caleb in daycare. One Fit Mama™ was the perfect solution – stay full time with Caleb and continue working in the field she loves! One Fit Mama celebrated its second birthday on September 2, 2007, and the response by Mamas in the community has been overwhelming since its inception. One Fit Mama™ Founder and CEO, Tricia Perez, says, “We are thrilled to be given the opportunity to reach out to and create a sense of community among new Moms in the four-county Greater Philadelphia area. Even more important than helping mothers lose their extra baby weight, we’ve made it a little easier for these women to be successful, happy Mamas!”
