are the new certified technicians taking care of skaters from recreational to Olympic levels.
“This is the best work we’ve done so far,” commented owner Christopher Bartlett when asked about the new store, “and we have really achieved our goals with this space by providing a clean, fun atmosphere in which figure skaters can be comfortable and really learn about the equipment that we are supplying them.” Indeed, the store is an open, well-lit space with the Skaters Landing turquoise-and-purple color scheme featuring multicolored lighting and a wide array of fun accessories to play with, like the new ‘Fuzzy’ blade covers in four bright colors. In addition, the company has made an impressive launch of Zuca bags, which are still popular among figure skaters across the

US. Peter Kozodoy commented, “After meeting Laura Udall, the founder of Zuca, we were really inspired by her story and we decided to make an even stronger commitment to the bags…besides, they’re really fun and they fit the store atmosphere perfectly.”
Late in 2007, Skaters Landing launched a brand new version of its website, and has been getting orders from as close as their home state of Connecticut and as far away as Singapore. In 2008, the company plans to launch between two and four new stores in the northeastern United States. In addition, Bartlett and Kozodoy have partnered on a brand new venture, iSK8coach.com, which will provide social networking and search capabilities to the figure skating community, offering parents the chance to look for coaches, clubs and learn-to-skate programs in their zip code area. The site is set to launch by the end of March, and will feature blogs, photos and the most recent figure skating news.
