Elvis Presley White Baby Grand Piano
Your chance to own a piece of Rock and Roll History!
Presenting for Auction the Elvis Presley Yamaha White Baby Grand Piano - Hollywood RCA Studio C.
The lucky winner will cherish this beautiful instrument, just like Elvis did!
This beautiful piano was custom ordered by RCA Studios in the early 1970s for Elvis Presley.
The piano was kept at the famous RCA Hollywood Building, Studio C, a room especially built by the studio just for Elvis.
The piano was used by Elvis to play and record many of his songs and popular sound tracks.
Songs such as “Green, Green Grass of Home,” “Burning Love” and “Pieces of My Life,” among others were recorded
by Elvis with this piano. Elvis also loved to just sit and play, for pleasure, and to entertain close friends playing and singing
his favorite gospel songs.
Also included is the matching Piano Bench, the very bench where Elvis sat at his beloved white piano.
Please see attached pictures of this beautiful and historically important musical instrument.
Also pictured are scans of Los Angeles Times newspaper article and documents corroborating its legacy as the instrument
custom ordered and purchased by RCA for Elvis and placed in the Hollywood RCA Building, Studio C,
a high-ceiling recording room especially built for Presley.
The piano is in very good condition, sounds lovely, plays smooth.
Note there are some scratches here and there--nothing has been
changed from the day it left Elvis' Hollywood Studio C room.
The King cherished this beautiful piano and you will too!
Excerpt from Los Angeles Times article, January 31, 2004, by Keith David Hamm
(Quoting Joe Esposito, 19 years Elvis’ friend, Road Manager and Bodyguard):
“I remember him at that white piano many, many times,” recalled Esposito, who was present at many of
Elvis’ Studio C sessions. “Elvis wasn’t a great piano player, but he could feel and play music on most instruments.
He was a very emotional person, you know, and he loved the piano because of the feeling.
His recording sessions were very casual,” Esposito continued. “They’d finish a song and take a little break, and
he’d go to the piano and play and sing gospel or the old ‘Unchained Melody’ type of stuff.”
The Elvis TODAY sessions were held in RCA's Studio C, Hollywood, CA March 10-12, 1975 and marked the last time
Elvis Presley would ever record in a studio
Your chance to own a slice from the twilight of the career and life
