United States of America (Press Release) March 19, 2008 --
Boston, MA – March 19, 2008
UandItrade.com formally announced today it would be sponsoring a Charitable Donation program starting in April. Since UandItrade is all about families, charities selected for the program will relate specifically to women, children and families. UandItrade members will select one charity for unlimited trading on the site at no cost or burden to the charity. Best of all, charities will not only be able to select items currently listed on the site but post a Wish list allowing them to directly fill client needs quickly. The first charity to be sponsored on UandItrade is Project Cuddle, a non-profit organization dedicated to preventing baby abandonment.
“This is a great illustration of the amazing people that make up our site. One member mentioned Project Cuddle and next thing we knew, everyone had collectively organized and rallied to start helping other families. Usually you only see that kind of reaction in times of crisis. It’s simply amazing!” said Ann Harman, a UandItrade member.
UandItrade is the brainchild of Matt Wilbourn, a Medical Supply Salesman and father of three. Born from frustration and financial burden, Wilbourn sought a viable solution to recycle barely used items and afford the new items his children so badly needed. In the face of global warming, national environmental concerns and a full blown recession, UandItrade.com has fast become a mainstay in internet trading for families across the U.S. The site is dedicated to trading anything and everything relating to children, families and women. Items found on the site are both new and used, giving gluttonous powerhouses like eBay a literal run for their money. The site is based on a point system with no money exchanging hands and the seller paying shipping. There is no cost to list and the site supports itself solely through advertising.
With today’s announcement, UandItrade.com proves it isn’t just business as usual. This is a true 21st century organization combining environmentally conscious business with true social conscience.
“It’s a good feeling to know that you ARE reducing the environmental load of your family by recycling all your kids stuff but to actually be directly helping another family - that’s an intense experience!” says Janet Gonzalez, a UandItrade member from Boston.
