United States of America (Press Release) March 24, 2008 --
New Providence, N.J. - March 24, 2008 - Marquis Who's Who, America's biographer for 110 years and publisher of Who’s Who in American Art, today announced the launch of a new Artists’ Gallery web site featuring works of art from hundreds of prominent artists.
First appearing in the 2008 print edition of Who's Who in American Art, the Artists’ Gallery – found online at www.whoswhogallery.com – is searchable by artist name and media, and showcases the works of many noteworthy men and women in the visual arts community.
“We are very excited about the launch of this web site,” says Marquis Who’s Who CEO, James Pfister. “The Artists’ Gallery is an invaluable resource for the art and reference community and will expose users to exceptional artists from all over the country.”
The Artists’ Gallery features works by accomplished artists such as Ron Burkhardt and John Safer, as well as many others working in diverse media ranging from oil and watercolor to sculpture and photography. Each piece is hand picked by the artist and includes information such as title of work, media, dimensions, representing gallery, personal web site, and artist contact information. Works are also accompanied by the artists’ full biographical entries from Who’s Who in American Art.
