United States of America (Press Release) March 25, 2008 --
GIGAVAC, today's expert in high voltage relays, announces the G23—a brand new 15 kV Double Pole Double Throw (DPDT) vacuum relay. The G23 combines molybdenum moveable contacts with copper stationary contacts to provide low, 10-Milliohm contact resistance for increased current carry. The low, stable contact resistance provides low voltage drop in DC circuits and low signal loss in RF circuits.
The G23 incorporates oversize contacts and a strong actuator that give a high continuous current carry rating of 75ADC. In addition to high continuous current carry, the G23 can hot switch under load in most circuits. All of this capability is efficiently packaged into a relay that measures approximately four inches by two inches. The G23 is available with a nominal 26.5Vdc coil, which is ideal for drive circuits from 20Vdc through 28Vdc. Because of its load switching capability, the G23 has been designed into switchgear systems for critical airport lighting installations. Special coils can be provided to meet customer requirements. Complete specifications are available online at www.GIGAVAC.com
According to Jim Lanum, GIGAVAC Vice President of Sales & Technical Support, "For years, customers requiring DPDT high voltage relays had to rely on large, fragile glass designs. Now, GIGAVAC offers the G23, an incredibly rugged, ceramic, space-efficient alternative. And, like most of GIGAVAC's products, the G23 is the only relay of its kind in the industry that is fully RoHS compliant.”
The G23 sells for $440 each for five pieces, $287 each for 50 pieces, and is in stock for immediate delivery. GIGAVAC accepts all major credit cards and generally ships the same day an order is received. Representatives throughout the world can deliver the products in the user's country and currency at the lowest possible cost. For complete information and ordering, call 805-684-8401 or visit www.GIGAVAC.com.
