Popular entertainer Brett Boyd returns to Allendale, NJ this April in "An Evening With Brett Boyd".

On April 26th 2008 @ 8:30PM, popular entertainer Brett Boyd returns to HOLY GROUNDS LOUNGE in Allendale, NJ to perform for one night only in 'An Evening With Brett Boyd'. As opposed to most of his concerts with a decent-size backup band, and on occasion an entire orchestra, this night will be slightly more intimate; just Brett and his pianist Fred Fischer. The more intimate idea was Brett's, being that Holy Grounds is a small venue, he wanted to develop a concert program and setup that would make it easier to convey a more personal message to his audience.
For those who don't know much about Brett Boyd, he is a 21-year old singer and trumpet player with an old-school, jazzy flare! His style has been compared to that of Harry Connick and Mel Torme and at times will deliver songs in a more artistic and dramatic sequence than most singers of current. He brings music back to a time when the focus of the evening was not on the fireworks or the curtains but the music. His big-belter style of singing and his soulful, sweet trumpet playing will invite listeners of all ages into his very eclectic repertoire. Brett has already played amongst the likes of George Benson, Michael Feinstein, John Pizzarelli, Wynton Marsalis and Liza Minnnelli. That's just a little taste of the sort of folk Brett's performing has attracted!
Brett has been doing less concerts since the start of this new year being that he's been hard at work on his first real album! But this will be the first concert of the year premiering some brand new material that you will hear on the album! Brett's 'Christmas Memories' show sold out in two weeks back in November when tickets first went on sale, so you can be sure this time around it will be just as hard to get a ticket!
