INQdrop.com Founder Relays In The Fight Against Cancer
Los Angeles, CA (April 4, 2008) – Nearly 570 thousand Americans in 2008 will die of cancer according to the American Cancer Society. Nearly 2 million more will be diagnosed with cancer.
To say that cancer will impact us all in some shape of form in our lives is not an exaggeration. Richard Kil, founder of INQdrop.com, is all too familiar with cancer and its devastating impact. After losing his grandfather to lung cancer and seeing one of his close friends survive testicular cancer, he knew that he had to take a stand. And he did.
Like many young American, he fully utilized the internet. Using various forms of online social resources, including his own creation, INQdrop.com, Richard was able to raise funds for the annual Relay for Life. “The love and support I got from the online community was tremendous! People I knew and even people I had never met showed me great support,” said Richard.
Relay for Life is a 24 hour charity event put on by the American Cancer Society where participants walk and run around a track for 24 hours through the heat of day and the cold of night. Supporters and survivors in all parts of the nation raise money for cancer research and celebrate the success of life and remember those who have fallen victim to cancer.
Richard Kil has recently reached his fundraising minimum and will be taking part in the University of Southern California’s Relay for Life on April 5-6, 2008. He asks that anyone interested visit INQdrop.com for more information on donating to his Relay for Life or www.relayforlife.org to simply find out more and possibly join a Relay for Life nearby.
