Eye Mateys launches site aimed at selling Amblyopia Eye Patches for Lazy Eye kids

The graphics are fun for children to wear and relieve some of the embarrassment and awkwardness that comes with eye patch wear. Eye Mateys also offers plain patches and custom patches, where the user can choose the color and graphic of the patch.

Eye Mateys' patches are made soft felt and built to withstand the wear and tear of small children. The patches fit over the child's eye glasses, avoiding the discomfort of sticky adhesive eye patches and occluders.

The owners of Eye Mateys have experienced some of the difficulties of eye patch wear through their son, who wore an Amblyopia eye patch for over a year. Their son had experienced great difficulty in wearing adhesive patches. First, the patches caused skin irritation, sweat buildup, and pain upon removal.
