Germany (Press Release) April 2, 2008 --
The cables are specially designed to provide lossless digital video and uncompressed audio for high-tech commercial installations and professional home theaters.
The HDMI Cable 1.3b of the Thunderflash Peak Line is a true High Definition (TRU-HD) 1080*p 24 p HDMITM connector cable and can be used for Blue-ray®, HD DVD, DVD Audio and CD S. An HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) cable is a digital interface connector that transmits both video and audio signals. Consumer electronic companies had founded this standard in 2003; HDMI is now supported by more than 300 companies worldwide. HDMI is a much smaller and user-friendly connector than the DVI connector. A single HDMI cable can be used to replace all of the cable connections between a high definition television and other high definition devices, such as a Blu-ray od HD DVD player. HDMI supports any TV or PC video format, including standard, enhanced or high-definition video and multi-channel digital audio devices. The cables are manufactured to adhere to various versions of the specification, where each version is given a number, such as 1.0 or 1.3. Each subsequent version of the specification increases the throughput and/or capabilities of what can be transmitted over the cable. For example, previously, the maximum pixel clock rate of the interface was 165 MHz, sufficient for supporting 1080p at 60 H, but HDMI 1.3 increased that to 340 MHz and a bandwidth of 10.2 gbps to support the future demand of HD display devices.
HDMI – crystal clear video quality
HDMI cables 1.3b synchronize video and audio with greater accuracy so you can experience crystal-clear video and audio quality. ThunderFLASH HDMI cables are made with high-quality copper and gold-plated connectors to increase signal strength and secure 1080p/24p throughput and connectivity up to a length of 15 meters. With support of color depth of 48 bit, the devices can represent any color in the nature with as fine details as a human eye can perceive. It significantly removes on-screen color banding, for smooth tonal transitions and subtle gradations between the colors.
Better audio quality
HDMI also includes support for 8-channel uncompressed digital audio at 192 kHz sample rate with 24 bits/sample as well as any compressed stream such as Dolby Digital, or DTS. HDMI supports up to 8 channels of one-bit audio, such as that used on Super Audio CDs at rates up to 4x that used by Super Audio CD. With version 1.3, HDMI now also supports lossless compressed streams such as Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio, which are used in Blue-ray and HD DVD players.
The double-stitched HDMI copper cables are tested and certified to meet all HDMI Consortium required specifications. ThunderFlash HDMI cables are available by 1, 5, 3, 5, 7,5 and 10 meters of length and start at a price of 58,50 Euro at the on-line store www.16x9europe.com.
