The nephrostomy tube was left in the kidney to allow easy drainage of urine, blood and residual fragments of stone. A stent was placed to ensure patency of the ureter and facilitate drainage from the kidney to the urinary bladder. A catheter was placed to drain urine from urinary bladder.
