First official biography on Randy Moss forthcoming
CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Many people think that they know Randy Moss. But soon, the real Randy Moss story will be told.
The first authorized biography of NFL star Randy Moss is being written and is planned for a February 2009 release. The working title of the book is “Rollin’ with Randy: The Real Randy Moss story.”
Moss is working exclusively with author Jim Workman on the project. Workman will begin a search for a publisher immediately.
“We’re looking for a publisher that can work with us in terms of distribution as well as promotion,” said Workman. “Randy and I also want to implement a pre-order reservation system on his official website TheRealRandyMoss.com. We would like for all proceeds from a $4 reservation online fee to go to Randy’s charity organization “Rollin’ with Randy” which benefits children in Kanawha Valley and other areas of West Virginia.”
Although Moss is entering his 11th season in the National Football League and has enjoyed many honors, the book will be the first personal account of a controversial life and Hall of Fame caliber career that has captivated thousands of people worldwide. Readers can expect many new revelations and insight from a famous athlete and celebrity that has previously guarded his personal life very closely.
“I’ve been approached about doing a book many times in my career,” said Moss. “But I didn’t think it was time for it at the time. But at this point of my career, I feel that it’s time to come on out with my experiences. I’ve matured and grown and I’ve accomplished more in football. I want to let people in on my life, about football and my everyday life.”
“This book will provoke laughter as well as tears,” said Workman. “Randy’s story is very inspirational. We’re looking forward to sharing the many sides of Randy that only a few of his closest friends and family have had the pleasure of seeing until now.”
“Jim knows what’s going on and can relate to what I’m trying to do, what I’m saying and what I’m about,” Moss said of Workman. “He knows where I started and where I’m going. He and I have had a long relationship.”
