Recently an event organized by Great Waves to launch the most glamorous calendar of the year, Indo French Calendar 2008 and the famous Cognac brand of France, Prince Hubert de Polignac Cognac for the first time in India. Romania’s Ambassador Vasile Sofineti, Greece Ambassador Stavros Lykidis and Carole Frogier & Ivan de Fonclare from Polignac Cognac had come all along the way from France to India to be a part of this launch party.
According to Ivan de Fonclare, "98% of the Cognac gets exported out of France and only 2% of Cognac is consumed in France. The range of Cognac starts from rupees 1600 to rupees 1,50,000. As it becomes older the price increases simultaneously.
On this special occasion, the most glamorous calendar of the year Indo- French Calendar 2008 also launched by Ex- cricketer Madanlal and Calendar's Model Tatiane. The purpose of the calendar is to reckon past or future time, to show how many days until a certain event takes place—the harvest or a religious festival—or how long since something important happened.
Special part of this gathering was that the Srilankan Cricket Players Marvan Aatapattu and Avishka Gunavardhane made their presence to enjoy the weekend. Apart from these cricket stars Model Simrit Singh, Foreign Model coordinator Nathali, Mrs. Madanlal, Meenu Singh, and H.S. Nag made their presence to grace the evening.

"France and India has a rich cultural heritage in various aspects, this is a step to bring France closer to India with the Support of Indo French Chamber of Commerce (NR)" said Rajbir Singh –MD of Great Waves.
Prince Hubert de Polignac is a famous brand of France. In 1947, Prince Hubert de POLIGNAC who was, at that time, the French Foreign Trade Counsellor allowed his name and coat of arms to become a registered trademark.
