Fitzgerald started the business in 2007 because her daughter wanted gratitude workbooks like she and her husband were using. The stores did not offer them. Her then 6-year old daughter said "that's okay Mommy, we'll just make our own." And the business was started!
What Gratitude for Kids does is share products created by Fitzgerald's 7-year-old daughter, Sami. According to Ms. Fitzgerald, "We are teaching children about gifting, gratitude and how to change their world by being a better person. We sell, speak and create to make things happen in a more positive light."
Gratitude for Kids' flagship product is the book, "Fish Sticks, Books and Blue Jeans ~ Teaching kids to be thankful for everything (yes, even Fish Sticks) everyday!" It is available from the company's web site at http://www.GratitudeForKids.com.
Gratitude for Kids also offers presentations to groups of all ages and sizes on topics such as:
