Voltage SecureFile, Now Available Through Security as a Service, Brings Simple File Security to Small Businesses

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) April 8, 2008 -- Voltage today introduced a Security as a Service (SaaS) version of Voltage SecureFile, the simple, powerful, and cost-effective solution for protecting documents and files. Designed for small businesses that need to easily but securely collaborate on files, Voltage SecureFile in a SaaS configuration costs less than $40 per year, and also integrates with other Voltage Security Network (VSN) product offerings.

The SaaS approach -- coupled with Voltage SecureFile’s simplicity -- is ideal for small business users who want to safeguard files and documents, but don’t have the time or patience to master PKI and complex encryption directions associated with many of today’s productivity applications.

“Voltage SecureFile combines the power of encryption with the simplicity and affordability of an on demand service,” said Ingrum Putz, Director of On-Demand Encryption Services, Voltage Security Inc. “It allows small businesses to easily share documents in a secure manner, and it’s easy for anyone to master.”

Indeed, documents and files can be secured and shared with the point-and-click of a mouse—with no need for the user to understand technology jargon or confusing menu systems. Through either a SaaS or traditional on-site deployment, documents can be secured to individuals or groups using simple email addresses.

Small businesses are quickly discovering that Voltage SecureFile coupled with SaaS is a powerful but simple approach to file security. “Voltage SecureFile protects us and protects our client information,” said Chris Shaw, president of S4 Partners LLC, a recruiting firm in El Granada, Calif. “Voltage SecureFile allows us to safely and confidently manage files containing employee compensation information.”

“As a small business that specializes in risk management, we needed a solution that mitigated our own risks, and Voltage SecureFile does exactly that,” said Christian Youngerman, president and CEO of Process Risk Experts LLC, a small consulting firm in Northern California that offers risk assessments and remediation recommendations for complex and usually hazardous processes. Process Risk Experts uses Voltage SecureFile to protect highly sensitive information that they exchange with their clients.

Voltage SecureFile and its SaaS configuration are part of an expanding online Voltage Security Network Store (http://www.voltage.com/vsn). Solutions available from the store today include:
• Voltage SecureFile (standalone), starting at $38/year, allows users to
encrypt any file. Enhanced integration for Office 2007 allows users to encrypt files with Microsoft’s Information Rights Management feature.
• Voltage SecureMail (standalone), starting at $38/year, supports Outlook 2000, 2002(XP), 2003 or 2007 and access to the Zero Download Messenger (ZDM).

• Voltage SecureMail & Voltage SecureFile (combo), starting at $60/year, packs the power and simplicity of both SecureFile and SecureMail for one low price.
