United Kingdom of Great Britain & N. Ireland (Press Release) April 10, 2008 --
Maldon, Essex, England – April 2008 – CML Microcircuits (www.cmlmicro.com) a leading innovator and provider of low-power semiconductors for Global wireless and wireline communications markets, announces a new product introduction to its two-way radio IC line-up.
The new CMX138 is a comprehensive audio processor designed primarily for the growing market of analogue ‘leisure’ two-way radio products (FRS, MURS, PMR446 and GMRS).
Highly integrated by design, the CMX138 offers high performance and low-power consumption, extending end-product battery life to the maximum. The product features a user-programmable frequency inversion half-duplex audio scrambler, a flexible audio processing path (consisting of companding, pre/de-emphasis and level setting), with concurrent audio and signalling operations handled by the integrated sub-audio signalling processor (selectable to CTCSS and DCS modes).
Additional features of the CMX138 include an auxiliary ADC channel, auxiliary DAC interface with optional RAMDAC to facilitate transmitter power ramping, auxiliary system clock output and transmit output for single-point-modulation.
The CMX138 is available in a small, low-power (3.0V to 3.6V with flexible powersave modes), 28-pin (E1) TSSOP package.
Full product information is available on the CML website, with design support and applications consultation available directly from CML’s global technical support teams (www.cmlmicro.com).
Ends.
