PRESS RELEASE
Hi-Def Optics Launches SGO INK Tattoo Sunglass Collection
For Immediate Release:
Sunglass Options, a division of Hi-Def Optics, LLC, has brought the Tattoo to Sunglasses at popular prices.
As company Vice President Jerry Werbner says: "Your Mom won't get mad if you come home wearing these Tattoos, and the boss won't care if you show them off at work. And... when you want to remove them, there's no pain... just take them off and store them in their protective case."
Emerging from their once unsavory reputation, tattoos have gained increasing prominence in the past decade. Life magazine estimated in 1936 that 10 million Americans, or approximately 6% of the population had at least one tattoo.
A Harris Poll, done in 2003, nearly triples those numbers and estimated that 16% of Americans then had one or more tattoos.
Thirty-six percent of those ages 18 to 25, and 40 percent of those ages 26 to 40, have at least one tattoo, according to a fall 2006 survey by the Pew Research Center. Today that percent is even higher.
So, it is not surprising that Sunglasses, one of the hottest fashion accessories, are getting in on the craze. A special printing process emblazons the temple with one of an ever growing number of patterns being released by Sunglass Options who sells their SGO INK Tattoo Sunglass Collection to Wholesalers, Retail Stores and on their own website. "We're not sure how long this trend will continue, but we think we are just at the beginning of what will be a Fashion statement with broad appeal" says Jerry. "We began by selling SGO INK Sunglasses to Motorcycle shops and on our website and soon realized that their appeal was much broader than we expected."
"In my 30 years in the Sunglass Industry I have never been involved with as exciting a product... I can't wait to see how creative we can get with the artwork!"
