Bangladesh, People's Republic of (Press Release) April 20, 2008 --
Society For Human Actions & Rights Everywhere (SHARE) is organized and is to be operated exclusively for voluntary, developmental, non-profitable, non-political and non-governmental purposes in Kishoregonj district of Bangladesh. The World Health Organization (WHO) has announced the theme of its 2008 World Health Day as “protecting health from climate change”. For this theme, SHARE has organized a grand rally in Kishoregonj District collaboration with Local Health Organizations on 07.04.2008. A series of activities has been hosted by SHARE around the Kishoregonj to highlight the health consequences of climate change and raise awareness of the growing interdependency between these two areas. SHARE has reconfirmed that humans are getting negatively affected with the changes in global climate. Probably seeing this matter of urgency, Society For Human Actions & Rights Everywhere (SHARE) has organized a seminar on the theme for the World Health Day in 2008 and published different kinds of banner, festoon and sticker to raise awareness of key global public health challenges. SHARE believes that there is an immediate need is to strengthen surveillance and control of infectious diseases, safer use of diminishing water supplies, and take action on health emergencies. But more focus as always should be on prevention as the old saying goes ‘Prevention is better than cure’. The above series of activities were leaded by its Chairman Mr. Mohd. Fazla Alahi Arif and supported by its Area Organizer Mr. Rabee Alahi Sujon.
