Fly yourself toward talents! The Conseil culturel et artistique francophone de la Colombie-Britannique (CCAFCB) is proud to announce the names of the 6 contestants who will perform on stage on May 9th 2008 at 8pm, at the Waterfront Theatre located on Granville Island in Vancouver during the 17th edition of Pacifique en chanson.
The selected candidates ready to attempt the adventure are Barbara Alexandre, Ingrid Rondel, Joshua Minsky, Marie-France, Michelle Richard; all five living in Vancouver and Virginie Hamel from Yukon.Artists, talents, projects, dreams, emotion, audience, are the words that summarize the Pacifique en chanson.
The Pacifique en chanson is also a stopover for the participants, where they will learn from professionals from the world of music for one week. A personal journey to reach their dreams, this is the definition of the Pacifique en chanson.
Two contestants will have the opportunity to take part in the Chant’Ouest; all will take benefit from an unforgettable life experience and will enrich the French-speaking community of performance artists.Note that Luck Mervil has kindly accepted the invitation to be the sponsor of this event. Apart from the fact that he will accompany the candidates during the week of training, it will also be present on the night of the gala and will perform some of his songs. Geneviève Chassé, winner of the event last year, will also join the party and will demonstrate once again the breadth of her talent.
